About PNEC
The Association of Municipalities Polish Network „Energie Cités” (PNEC) is a non-government and public benefit organization. Since 1994 it has been working on local sustainable energy policies and climate protection and promoting energy efficiency and renewable energy use. PNEC co-operates with local authorities in Poland.
The Association represents Polish local authorities, mainly municipalities but also municipal companies and associations. The Association’s activity focuses on ecological education, exchange of experience and giving information on using structural funds for energy issues in municipality. It also helps in indentifying sources for the projects and is looks for project partners.
PNEC and the RENERGY project
- Printing leaflet at the project start that will help to popularize project among citizens and municipalities, local authorities interested in improving energy efficiency and boosting utilization of RES.
- Brochure at the end of the project will present results of the RENERGY, good practices implemented at the project partner regions.
- Electronic newsletter about project progresses which will inform about project progress at the project level and the level of partner region.
- Publishing articles about RENERGY in local press will catch attention of wider audience.
- Self-assessment report which will include framework for RES in partner region.
- Preparing stakeholder lists and guidelines in defining sustainable energy strategies.
- Supporting policy makers in preparing regional or local policy.
- Creating sustainable energy plan.
