INTELI - Intelligence in Innovation, Innovation Centre is a Think-and-Do Tank oriented to the definition, development and implementation of innovation policies. It is focused on the entire knowledge value chain, from strategy to action. INTELI positions itself as an interface between public policies and corporate strategies by supplying advanced knowledge, deep thinking and public debate to support decision-making processes.

The Innovation Center operates in two main areas: Cities and Territories, and Industry and Technology. In the first area, it intends to contribute to the integrated development of the territories in economic, social, cultural and environmental terms, through the support of public policies and that of the strategies of the local stakeholders, integrating the intervention in the following domains: creative economy, urban sustainability and social innovation. In the second area, INTELI contributes to the expansion of strategic sectors for the development of the Portuguese economy, such as automotive, mobility, energy and aeronautics, providing support to big investment projects.

 

The main role of INTELI - Intelligence in Innovation, Innovation Centre in RENERGY is to provide key knowledge and draw policy recommendations, methodologies and information systems which will support policy-oriented activities and the continued knowledge transfer within the project. 

Due to its available knowledge, experience and extensive network of both public authorities and business related organizations, INTELI is an important knowledge provider for the business thematic pillar in the project. By diagnosing and forecasting trends in markets, technologies and products, it has a close connection with business communities and SMEs all over Europe. In fact, INTELI participates in numerous national and international initiatives related to energy and sustainability. 

Moreover, INTELI will support the Municipality of Torres Vedras (Portugal) in the improvement of its energy policy, through the production of a self-assessment report and an action plan in the areas of energy efficiency and renewable energy.
